High Tea for Hamlin: Hamlin Fistula NZ is hosting a High Tea at the Transitional Cathedral from 2.30 to 4.30 p.m. on 9 September. Entertainment will be offered by St Andrews College, local artists and guests, along with a delicious high tea. Funds raised will support the work of the Hamlin Fistula hospitals and midwives in the treatment and prevention of childbirth injuries for the women of Ethiopia. Fistula leaves women as social outcasts living a life of rejection and severe poverty. Hamlin Fistula has treated over 45,000 women in their 6 hospitals.
