Clothing shop: The refurbished clothing shop is now open for business on Saturdays between 9.30 a.m. and 12 noon in its new location at the street end of the hall (previously the offices).

Evening Circle: The Evening Circle will be this evening, Sunday, 27 August, at 5.30 p.m. at Rosemary Braithwaite’s home. If you want to attend, phone Rosemary.

Spring Service: Planning is underway for a combined service on Sunday 24 September at 10am at StAC.  Thus far the people of St Luke’s and St Margaret’s have committed to sharing with us in this service celebrating Spring.

Kilmarnock Edition: A date had been set for a concert in September.  Due to unforeseen circumstances this has changed to Friday 3 November.  More details to come.  We know you will join us in offering our sympathy to Murray Compton and the group on the recent death of one of their members Brian Ringrose.

Women’s fellowship: We are now collecting the 2017 annual subscription. $10.00 can be paid to Val Stammer or Catherine McKellar. Many thanks for your support.

Adapted Yoga/Pilates: Our mixed Yoga and Pilates classes are fun and relaxed, catering for different needs and fitness levels. Visit of Dr Sami Awad: The Oxford Terrace Baptist church is hosting the visit of this prominent Palestinian Christian and peace and reconciliation advocate. His visit on 6 September will be a must for anyone interested in Middle Eastern conflict, Holy Land issues, and those seeking insight into peace making and reconciliation.  For details contact Martin or visit the Facebook event via Oxford Terrace Baptist Church, entitled Blessed are the Peacemakers.

High Tea for Hamlin: Hamlin Fistula NZ is hosting a High Tea at the Transitional Cathedral from 2.30 to 4.30 p.m. on 9 September. Entertainment will be offered by St Andrews College, local artists and guests, along with a delicious high tea. Funds raised will support the work of the Hamlin Fistula hospitals and midwives in the treatment and prevention of childbirth injuries for the women of Ethiopia.  Fistula leaves women as social outcasts living a life of rejection and severe poverty. Hamlin Fistula has treated over 45,000 women in their 6 hospitals. Tickets cost $40 and are available from Bev McCaw at 351 6011.
