Congratulations to the Parish Council members who were elected last Sunday: Ian Cundall, Jane Agnew, Lisa Mitchell, Anne Foote, Keren Ritchie, Lesley Compton, and Ruth Churcher. Kate Boardman, Gordon Shields, and Frances Coburn were re-elected.

Congratulations also to David Brown, our new Parish Clerk.

Continuing their terms are: Frik de Beer, Denis Elvidge, and Susan Peake and those on the Council due to their various roles: Robin Crimp (Finance Convenor), Judith Souness (Treasurer), Martin, Anne and Dan (Ministers).

 Papanui building: The building is on schedule to be finished by the end of this month. Walk through dates will be made available as soon as possible for after that date. If you wish to donate toward any of the plants and chattels information is available from Judith Souness or Gordon Shields. Information sheets are available at the back of the chapel.

Kilmarnock Edition: The group are performing on Friday 3 November 7 p.m. at the Bryndwr Village Common. Tickets are $15 and are available from Lesley Compton, Anne Stewart, or the Bryndwr office. Supper is provided.

This is a great opportunity to bring friends, enjoy an evening of Celtic songs with audience participation and experience the new building.

The Evening Circle meets Sunday, 22 October at 5.30 p.m. at Rosemary Braithwaite’s home.

Garage Sale: The Spring Garage Sale will be on Saturday 11 November at the Bryndwr site. If need anything picked up please let the office know, there is storage available at Bryndwr.

 Village Camp: This will be held at Raincliff, South Canterbury on 17 – 19 November. The campsite has bunk rooms and also has caravan sites available. For details contact Ken & Kath Newton

 APW PILLARS Christmas Hampers: It would be appreciated if you could donate some Christmas food for PILLARS who help families of prisoners. Mince pies, tinned fruit, biscuits, sweets etc.  There will be a box in the entrance at St Andrews to receive these items on 29 October and 5/ 12 November.  The hampers will be taken to PILLARS after APW’s last meeting on Wednesday 15 November. Thank you.

Bryndwr Indoor Bowls:  There will be no bowls Monday 23 October. The Bowls club will be holding its Annual Meeting on Monday 30 October at 7.30 p.m.  The Bowls Club does not then meet again until March 2018.

Papanui office administrator: The search begins to find a replacement for Kathy. If you, or someone you know, might be interested in this part-time position, please contact Anne Stewart , in the first instance.
