RECEIPTS to year ended 31 March 2018 are ready today. Please collect from Keren and Donella.

IRCA Conference Thank you to the people who have helped us so significantly with the International Rural Churches Conference. We greatly appreciate your support and hard work.

We would like to invite you to join us either on Tues April 17th from 7.30pm to 9pm for the Oceania Night, or on Wed April 18th 7.30pm to 9pm for the International Night. Each night will include items and sharing from countries represented at the conference, and will conclude with devotions.
Come into the Lincoln University campus through Gate 2 and go straight ahead until you come to the Union car park on your left. It is immediately before a bright blue weatherboard building. There should be signs to take you from the carpark to the dining room. (The university signs call the dining room ‘Mrs O’s’). We would be delighted if you were able to join us. Please make yourself known to one of the organisers so that we can welcome you.

Women’s Fellowship: Meeting for a coffee at 10am, Thursday 19 April, at Riccarton House, 16 Kahu Road. This will be followed by a tour through the house and gardens. RSVP to Kath or Jean. All are welcome.

Progressive dinner: On Sunday May 6 this event will begin with starters at our Papanui site where you will receive instructions as to where you are heading for your main, and then we will gather again for dessert at our Bryndwr site. There will be a $5 charge to help with the hosts costs.
We are looking for people who are prepared to be hosts and those who are happy to help with making a dessert and of course people to feed! A clipboard is in the foyer where you can register your interest.

Birthday Offering: At The Village we have a practice of offering a special thank-you to God and God’s work in celebration of our birthdays. In the March issue of The Village News you should have received envelopes, for those in your household, for this purpose. If for any reason you don’t have an envelope please contact either office. The suggestion was made that you might like to include $1 for every year you have been alive, but if this limits or stretches you too much then please remember this is a suggestion only.

On our birthdays we are often the recipient of much generosity and kindness. This invitation enables you to offer something back in thankfulness, if you wish to do so.

These envelopes can be placed in the offerings on Sundays or dropped into either office, or given to your visitor if that is an easier method of getting them to the church.
