Progressive dinner: On Sunday May 6 this event will begin with starters at 5.30 pm at our Papanui site where you will receive instructions as to where you are heading for your main, and then we will gather again for dessert at our Bryndwr site. There will be a $5 charge to help with the hosts costs.
We are looking for people who are prepared to be hosts and those who are happy to help with making a dessert and of course people to feed! A clipboard is in the foyer where you can register your interest.

“Where in the world”: St Margaret’s Women’s Fellowship invite women of The Village to their Hospitality afternoon “Where in the world” on Wednesday 2nd May at 1.45pm. We would like to have a good group to attend, and for those who can, they would like each to bring a photo of a favourite holiday destination. St Ninian’s Centenary: This parish event is being celebrated at Queen’s Birthday this year. Organizers are keen to contact past members or those who have had an association with St Ninian’s, who might be interested in attending all or part of the programme. Community Planting Day and BBQ: Get involved and play your part in recreating Papanui Bush on the Bridgestone Reserve. Bring friends, family, a spade and gloves. Gumboots are recommended. This event will happen rain, hail or shine.

S.O.S to Knitters: The Maternity department at Christchurch Women’s Hospital have urgent need of newborn size knitting.
They are asking for hats, singlets, cardigans and bootees. Must be pure wool. If you don’t knit but would like to help out, donations of wool, or money for wool, would be appreciated.
You can deliver knitting, or wool donations, to Tracey at the Village Papanui office (9.30am to 11.30am Mon-Fri) and she will deliver to the hospital. Thank you.
