Parish Visitors Get-Together: This Wednesday June 5th at 7pm in the lounge at Papanui. We haven’t met together for some time and think the opportunity to hear from you and to discuss this important aspect of our church life is valuable.

Tickets at $20 each are available from Judith Souness today or from Lesley Compton during next week. A beautiful meal is planned and we look forward to your company. Hope you can make it. The Village Market at Bryndwr on 8th June: The June Market day will be on the 8th June as the first Saturday in June is Queens Birthday weekend. If anybody has tidy goods to be sold at the market please leave them at Bryndwr or contact me to arrange pickup. Thank you, Andrew Souness.
Duty Roster July – September: The duty roster is about to be prepared for the period 1 July to 30 September 2019. A note to those who are on our list of folk for rostering: “If you know of any days that you will not be attending church during this period, please let me know so I can ensure you are not rostered on those days. Obviously, there will be other days that your availability will change and these will be adjusted as they occur.
If you wish to assist in reading or counting please let me know and I will include you on these rosters. Thank you for your assistance and support”. Andrew Souness.
Preserving Jars: Thank you for the great response, we now have all the jars we need.

The Lilliput Library at Papanui is being well utilised – if you have any books to donate, there is a box in front of the office where you can leave donations. Thank you.
Prayers for Southern Seasons: Poems and prayers for Christian worship and devotions – published by Philip Garside Publishing Ltd. A collection of prayers and poems crafted by Joy Kingsbury-Aitken over the years as she has led services in many different congregations. Of particular interest is that this book has taken into account the ‘down under’ experience we have living in New Zealand. https://pgpl.co.nz/print-books/prayers-for-southern-seasons-print/
Copies of the book will be sold for $25, with $5 going to The Village (if purchased by a Village member). Please contact Joy if you would like to purchase a copy.
