Christmas Trees & Angels – a Creative Nest workshop:  On Tuesday November 26 at 10am there will be a workshop at the Creative Nest. We will be making Christmas trees and angels from old books.  Bring a book with fairly stiff pages.  Other materials will be supplied.  Enquiries to Tracey at the office, or Margaret Harvey.

Celebrate Bishopdale 2019:  A great family fun day with a wide range of stalls and activities. Sunday 24 November at Bishopdale Park, 11am-2pm.  Free entry.  Food and craft items for sale.  Stage performances from schools, artists and organisations.  Have-a-go activities, arts and crafts, information stalls.  Free activities for kids including bouncy castle, climbing tower, snag inflatable golf, face painting, stone carving, henna tattoos, archery – and:- Bishopdale Skate Jam:  Aimed at 8-15 year old skateboarders (or those keen to have a go) and suitable for young and old audience.  Skate demonstrations, best trick comps, learn to skate and free sausage sizzle.  Skate bowl, Leacroft St (beside the Bishopdale Park fun day), Sunday 24 Nov, 11am-2pm.

 International Men’s Day:  On Tuesday 19th November 2019 International Men’s Day celebrates worldwide, the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities.  It’s a time to highlight positive role models and raise awareness of men’s wellbeing.

E-Day:  Rotary in partnership with Warehouse Stationery and Kilmarnock Enterprises are running an Electronics Recycling Day, 23 November 2019 10am – 4pm.  Look out for the Rotary team and trailers outside all Christchurch ‘Warehouse Stationery’ stores, including Rolleston, Rangiora and Belfast.    A donation will be gratefully received for each item (to help with the cost of recycling plastic and precious metals).  Monitors, printers, dvd and vcr machines, mobile phones, small and medium sized appliances.  For more info go to
