Organ Favourites played by John Dodgshun: 2 pm Sunday 26th July at St Andrew’s at Rangi Ruru, 16 Merivale Lane. Including, ‘In a Monastery Garden’ and ‘Sailor’s Hornpipe’. Gold coin koha – donations received will go to the Christchurch City Mission.
Steady As You Go: Our falls prevention classes (held weekly on Monday at 2pm, during term time) begin again July 20th. A great way to improve balance and mobility through gentle movements. If you would like to ‘come and see’ what is involved you are very welcome to come any Monday. $2 per session. Enquiries to Tracey at Papanui office or to Margaret H.
From our Parish Council:
“A reminder – even although there are no active cases of COVID-19 in the community – we have been asked by the Ministry of Health to keep a personal record of the places we go and when. Today please add Village Church Bryndwr – July 26th. Thank you.”
Plans are well underway with the new services (Thursday at Papanui and Sunday at Bryndwr) and we would welcome some more volunteers to help make these a success. We are working to ensure that the sound systems and screens at both Papanui and Bryndwr are sufficient to our needs – hopefully we’ll have a bigger screen and even sound distribution soon!
The meetings (held July 9th and 15th) regarding the changes to our worship life have gone well and people were able to gain more insight into how the decision was made and the reasoning behind it as well as being able to explore some practical concerns as well. There will be more information communicated in the upcoming Village News and via an email.
We have set a date for our Annual General Meeting as 18th October 2020. It will take place as usual after the service at Bryndwr.
New deadline for Notices: Please have any requests for items to be included in the weekly notices to Tracey at email@example.com by midday Tuesday each week.
August / September Roster: is being emailed this week to those who are rostered.
Part Time Paid Position Available ‘Regional Advisor role’: Are you a people person, with some administration skills, who is comfortable connecting with small groups of people? Do you have a passion to support teams where kids are learning some great life skills, presented from a biblical perspective? Do you have a spare 10 hours a week? Do you like flexible working hours?
