Art Exhibition this weekend: The joint exhibition of art, craft and writing ‘Creativity and Community’ is open (Saturday and) Sunday 6 Dec 10.30am until 4.30pm. We would love you to come and see something of the work all our creative groups have produced throughout the year. The artworks are not for sale but there will be cards and bookmarks (along with a few other ‘bits & pieces’ which could be suitable as Christmas gifts) produced by the artists for sale, with all proceeds going to KidsCan.
Christmas Dance – All are welcome to join the ‘begin with Bill’ group for a Christmas Dance, December 6 at the Village Papanui, 1.30pm. No charge (bring a plate).
Women’s Fellowship End of Year Get Together For our final meeting of the year, all ladies of the parish are invited to join us for “coffee and cake” at Kath N’s on Saturday 12 December at 2pm. Please RSVP to Kath or Catherine M. If transport is required, contact Catherine.
Children’s Christmas Service – 10am service Sunday 13th December Come along and celebrate Christmas with the young people of the Village. Everyone is welcome at this special service– bring your children, your grandchildren and your neighbours! Morning tea will follow the service. If you are able to bring a plate of child-friendly food to share, it would be much appreciated.
Carols at Riccarton Bush 6.30pm Sunday 13 December. Hosted by Riccarton-Spreydon Anglican Parish with music by Addington Brass. Donations being collected for the Christchurch City Mission. All welcome!
Donations welcomed: for anyone who would like to offer support to people through Presbyterian Support, we have had notice that they are running very low on these items:-
Nappies and wipes, baby bath wash, sanitary items for mums, toothpaste and brushes, deodorants, shampoo and conditioner, soap. Deliver to 44 Bealey Ave, or ph Megan 3638 209.
Also welcomed are non-perishable food items for donation to families at Burnside Primary School and to the City Mission. These can be placed in our collection basket each Sunday. Thank you for your support and help.
