The Village Market in March: our first market for 2021 is Saturday March 6, and you are all invited to come along – the coffee (or other hot drink!) for a koha provides a lovely social gathering time, and of course there will be plenty of goods for sale, along with our clothing shop.

The Parish Council are pleased to call a congregational meeting on March 7 immediately following the 10am service at Bryndwr.  The purpose of this meeting is to vote on the following recommendation: That the Parish of Christchurch North Presbyterian Church incorporate into the Parish of The Village Presbyterian Church. You will recall this was originally intended to take place on March 22 2020 (last year) but was cancelled due to entering Covid-19 Lockdown.  Please talk with Dan or Anne or Lisa if you have any questions regarding this matter. Thank you, Lisa Mitchell.

World Day of Prayer:  A series of devastating tropical cyclones form the backdrop to this year’s World Day of Prayer services on Friday, March 5.  Material has been prepared by ni-Vanuatu women.

World Day of Prayer is an international movement of Christian people in many different traditions that have a continuing relationship of prayer and service. People from various denominations gather in one another’s churches to celebrate, using a Worship Service prepared by women of a different country each year. Women, men and young people share the language, customs and music of that country, right around the globe.

This year St Ninians are hosting a 10am Service and St Christopher’s Avonhead host one at 7.00pm on Friday 5 March.

Sermon and Notices by email:  We have resumed our weekly email to those who would like to receive the sermon and/or notices from the previous Sunday.  If you would like to be added to the list (or removed from it) please contact Tracey at Papanui. Ph 352 6197 or
