Small Groups in The Village

If you are interested in becoming part of a small group in The Village, or would just like to know more, please get in touch with Dan, Anne, or either of the offices. The purpose of these groups is to get to know one another better and grow our faith. The setting of a small group offers a way to do both of these that larger gatherings are sometimes unable to.

Indoor market at Papanui Saturday 21 August 12-4pm in the hall at the Village Papanui (access down the driveway off Frank Street) Live music, food truck, art, fashion, beauty, a multicultural event with unique items for sale.  (please note this is not a Village Church run event)

Newcomers event – on Friday August 20, from 6pm, we will be holding a pot-luck shared meal at our Papanui site, for anyone who has made their way into The Village since September 2018, when we last had one of these events.  We will endeavour to make contact with the people in this category but if by some awful chance we miss anyone, please do make yourself known and feel welcome to join in.  It’s a great way to meet a few more people in a relaxed and fun environment.  Please contact Anne Stewart if you need any further information.

The Village Olympics – Friday August 27 6pm-9pm.  Bring your family and friends to the Village Olympics at Bryndwr.  We plan to start with a pizza tea at 6pm.  No qualifications or training required!  Just come along and enjoy!  We are asking for a koha to cover the cost of the pizzas.  Please sign the lists at Church on Sunday or let one of the offices know if you will be there, so we know how many pizzas to order.

Tata School Vanuatu fundraiser – Soap now available for $2 bar: The Ecostore soap bars are available from Papanui and Bryndwr offices, and from the Clothing Store.  Also, after Worship each Sunday – until sold out.  Two scents on offer, ‘Lemongrass’ and ‘Grapefruit and Mint’.  Friends and family are welcome to buy too – thank you for your support as we fundraise to help rebuild Tata School after the devastation the 2020 cyclone caused in Vanuatu.
