Cheese rolls: This year we are again offering cheese rolls as a church fun(d)raiser. Orders can be placed from 24 April at any of our sites. The rolls will be made at Bryndwr on Saturday 28 May from 8.30am for those in the kitchen and 9am for those assembling the rolls. The rolls will be available for collection from Bryndwr any time after 11am on Saturday 28th. They will be in packs of 10 for $10 per pack. Please note on the order form if you are available to help with the making on the 28th. Last time we had 25 helpers which made the task very much easier for all concerned. Any queries please contact Kath N.
Harvest celebration – Sunday May 15
The service will have a harvest theme. You are invited to bring whatever symbolizes this for you. The food collected will be used to help the Burnside Primary families and our contribution to the City Mission.
The clothing shop – We have had two retirements and are looking for more volunteers to help out. Time required is 9.15 am to approx 12.15pm on a Saturday morning, approximately once a month. Duties include sorting donations of clothing, tidying the racks etc and serving customers. There are always at least two people on duty. If you think this is something you might like to do, please contact Janice C.
Offering receipts are now available and can be collected at church service, or contact Keren or Donella.
Birthday celebrations: Because of the risks in gathering over the past few months there have been no birthday gatherings since January. To catch up with these we are planning a pot luck lunch on Sunday May 22nd at Bryndwr, for anyone with a birthday in February, March, April or May. Those we are aware of will be contacted but if you haven’t come to one of these before and you have a birthday within this period please come along!
First Thursday – The Village Bryndwr: Our next ‘Thursday Hour’ social get together is at 5pm on Thursday 5th May. Bring your own drinks, nibbles are provided, along with pleasant company – everyone is welcome!
Soap – last sales at the extremely good price of $5 for 3 bars: The funds from these sales will be donated to the Tongan Relief Fund. The remaining 150 soaps are available to purchase after church at Bryndwr and Redwood, or from either Papanui or Bryndwr offices.
