After two themed newsletters, this time around I’m hoping to do a roundup of what has been happening over the past few months. If something special has happened – let me know! September/October Birthdays: A big thank you to Ruth and Bruce Cooper who have offered to host this birthday occasion. The date will be in October, so watch this space for the details. If you haven’t been to a birthday celebration before, please do consider it. It is lovely to share hospitality in a smaller group.
Books needed for the Lilliput Libraries: Thinking of getting into your spring cleaning? We would gladly take your surplus books off your hands! The Lilliput Libraries at Bryndwr and Papanui have been especially busy this winter so more books are needed. Books can be placed in the donation boxes in the foyers at Bryndwr and Papanui or handed in to the offices. Thank you for supporting this busy outreach to the community.
Presbytery Retreat 18-20 Sept 2025
Retreat at Hanmer for anyone in the Church. Cost: Free, includes meals Thursday night & Friday Lunch provided. Organise your own accommodation. Guest Speaker: James Beck (Associate Pastor at The River Ōpāwho, Environmental Advisor at the Wilberforce Foundation and A Rocha Eco Church Director and Regional Coordinator).
