Carols, communion, and children’s Christmas celebration – 10am service Sunday 17th December
Come along and celebrate Christmas with the young people of the Village. Everyone is welcome at this special service– bring your children, your grandchildren, and your neighbours! Morning tea will follow the service. If you are able to bring a plate of child-friendly food to share, it would be much appreciated.
A note of thanks from Josh: Thank you to all who contributed to, and were able to make it along to my ordination service on Sunday afternoon, it was a great time of celebration. I felt very supported and honoured by the Village community. A special acknowledgment to the hospitality team who orchestrated a lovely supper! Thank you.
Changes at the Village
As most of you will be aware, David B. has stepped down from the role of Parish Clerk. We thank David for his leadership during his time as Parish Clerk, and for his on-going service to The Village Church by continuing to be a member of Parish Council. At the Parish Council meeting on 14 November, Joy was appointed the new Parish Clerk.
Parish Council wishes to advise the members of The Village Church that the Rev. Dan Spragg has accepted a call to a new Presbytery role, and will be taking up this new position in February. Dan’s last service at The Village will be on Sunday 28 January 2024. We ask for God’s blessings on Dan as he faces the challenges of this new Presbytery role.

You are invited to join on Tuesday, December 12 at the Village Papanui from 7:15pm and we will finish the meeting at 8:30pm with a shared supper.
