Notification of Congregational Meeting: Notice is hereby given to hold a congregational meeting after church services at Papanui on Thursday 30 March and Bryndwr and Redwood on Sunday 2nd April. The purpose of the meeting is to put a resolution to apply for the use of capital funds to finance the bathroom renovations in the Bryndwr manse.
First Thursday – 6 April from 5.00 to 6.00pm at the Village Bryndwr. A social hour held in the Common. BYO drinks, we provide the nibbles. Everyone is assured of a warm welcome!
School Holidays – Term 1 ends Thursday 6 April and Term 2 begins Mon 24 April (Anzac Day – Tuesday 25 April)
Maundy Thursday service, 6 April at 8pm Join us for a short contemplative service at 8pm in the chapel (entrance at the far end of the Bryndwr building). Tenebrae, also known as the Service of Shadows, takes place in a darkened room lit by candles. We will use a pre-recording that features music and a series of scripture readings that chronicle Jesus’ final week. After each reading, a candle is extinguished; we leave in darkness (apart from the Christ candle) and in silence.

Our April Book Stall will be Sunday 16 April, after the Worship Service at the Village Bryndwr. We appreciate donations of all types of books, thank you for your support of this fundraising activity for the Village Church.
Easter Eggs for Pillars – thank you so much for your generous donations of Easter eggs which have now been delivered to Pillars, ready to be given to the families. A special thanks to Tracey and Sabrina for coordinating the collection and to Lesley for delivering the eggs to Pillars.
Alpine Presbytery is seeking a new Presbytery Treasurer. A voluntary position, with an honorarium. Time commitment is approximately 25 hours per month. Further info is available from Tracey at Papanui or Sabrina at Bryndwr.
Autumn Combined Service and Feast: Sunday 30 April, at the Village Bryndwr. We look forward to combining as a whole Village for fellowship, worship, and a shared ‘feast’.
The service will start with Bagels & Hot Drinks at 10am, followed by worship (10.30am), and aiming to share food together at 12pm. We look forward to celebrating together!
